What must happen first
The portal treats vacating as a controlled sequence, not as a single verbal date.
Approvals become sufficiently ready
Key municipal permission and the sanctioned building position must be recorded.
Your member documentation is ready
The final member agreement should accurately record the flat, area, money and protection terms.
Financial protections are activated
Transit rent, PDC/payment protection and shifting arrangements should be ready before handover.
The Society issues a written instruction
The final vacating notice should state the action date and handover procedure clearly.
What you can do meanwhile
Useful preparation without acting before the project is ready.
Keep your current address and contact details updated with the Society.
Do not sign a private handover or vacating letter that is not part of the approved Society process.
Start considering temporary-location preferences only when the formal timeline becomes reasonably clear.
Check that rent, escalation, PDC and shifting-support terms match your final member agreement before handover.
