- First escalation
- 8% after the first completed 12-month period, if the final binding wording confirms it

| Months 13–24 | ₹76,010 | +8% on months 1–12 |
| After month 24 | Per final wording | The final binding PAAA wording decides any further step |
Both wordings give the same figures for months 1–24. What happens after month 24 depends on the final binding PAAA wording. Illustration only — not a payment schedule and not a forecast of any date.
Tax: a plain-English explainer
General information about the money in your package. Not tax advice.
Transit rent
- What it is
- Monthly money from the developer so that you can rent another home while the building is rebuilt. Recorded rate: ₹115 / sq ft / month.
- Why tax may matter
- Money you receive every month can matter for your yearly income-tax return. Whether, how and in which year it counts depends on the law and on your own case.
Questions to ask your CA
- Do I need to show transit rent in my return, and how?
- Does the rent I pay for my temporary home make a difference?
- Will any tax be deducted before the money reaches me, and how do I check that?
Member corpus
- What it is
- A one-time lump sum, separate from the monthly rent. Recorded amount: ₹3,50,000 member corpus.
- Why tax may matter
- A lump sum linked to your flat may be treated differently from monthly money, including when you later sell the new flat.
Questions to ask your CA
- How should the corpus be shown, and in which year?
- Does it change anything if I sell the new flat later?
- Which papers should I keep as proof?
Hardship compensation
- What it is
- One-time compensation calculated on your existing carpet area. Recorded rate: ₹1,250 / sq ft of existing carpet area.
- Why tax may matter
- Compensation can be treated differently from rent or corpus, depending on what it is paid for and how the final agreement words it.
Questions to ask your CA
- Is hardship compensation treated like the corpus or differently?
- Does the wording in my final PAAA change how it is treated?
- Should my family members who co-own the flat show anything?
Papers to keep for your CA
- Your final PAAA and its money schedule
- A record of every cheque or bank transfer, once payments start
- Any tax-deduction certificate the developer gives you
- This rent ledger, once payments begin
